Weh Island is one of beach escapes in Sumatra. Despite its small size, the island offers abundant of beautiful natures such as rain forest, waterfalls, hot spring dive sites, crystal clear waters, and white sandy beaches. The welcoming local people and the culture is also a charm added to this island. Enjoy spending your sunset time on the beach.
When Aceh was invaded by Japan in 1942, the hotel business did not make lots of profit until Japan’s surrender in 1945. After Indonesia declared its independence, the hotel business started to grow. Most of our guests were coming from outstation, especially Medan, North Sumatera. We named the hotel after Medan city.
During tsunami 2004, the hotel lobby was flooded but there was no damage to the building. There was a ship stranded right in front of the hotel entrance and it was a trademark for Hotel Medan until it has been evacuated a few months later.
A week after that catastrophe, we started to clean up and renovated the hotel. Many guests were started coming and most of them were foreigners who came to rebuild this city.
At the resort, each room has a wardrobe. Guest rooms include a private bathroom, a hairdryer and bed linen.
The area is popular for snorkelling
The nearest airport is Sultan Iskandar Muda International, 42 km from the accommodation, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service.
Upon arrival in Aceh airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in Aceh. Banda Aceh applies and implements Islamic Syari'ah in a kaffah manner that is in accordance with the al-Qur'an and al-Hadith. So that requires everyone to dress modestly in accordance with the religion of Islam.

After breakfast and check out from the hotel you’ll be picked up at appropriate time and transfer to the Port of Fast Ferry to Pulau Weh for 45 minutes. Upon arrival in Pulau Weh you’ll be transfer to your hotel in Iboih Inn.

Today you will have free program for the whole day. As optional, you can book snorkeling or diving through the hotel.
